I am thrilled to be a part of the Riverdale community as a literacy interventionist. Growing up in Ohio, I always had the passion for teaching and making a difference in children during their most impressionable years. I graduated from Miami University in Ohio and earned my Masters’ Degree in Reading and Literacy Education from the University of Colorado. I taught in Cherry Creek School District for six years, Eagle County for one, and Adams 12 for four years. Throughout my 19 years of teaching, I have acquired many skills and best practices to reach all students at each individual level to encourage the greatest potential of growth. I work with students closely in reading to analyze strengths and needs in order to move them forward. The three loves of my life are my two children, Addison (twelve years old) and Jack (ten years old), and my puppy dog, Lily. In my spare time, I love to hike, ski, travel, read, and spend time with family. I am very eager to begin a year filled with acelleration and growth with the Riverdale students I serve.
