The mission of the Riverdale Elementary Library Media Center is aligned with Adams 12 Five Star Schools mission to engage and inspire all students to innovate, achieve and succeed in a safe environment by ensuring high-quality instruction in every classroom, every day. Our goal is to prepare students to be global, 21st century participants through meaningful staff and student collaboration that ensures excellent instruction of information and media literacy, technology literacy, and digital citizenship. The library will support the community by providing a comprehensive collection and equitable access to high quality resources in a variety of formats.

Imagination Station
What is a makerspace?
You might have heard of a makerspace. It’s a buzzword that’s been floating around for a few years now. But what, exactly, is it? A makerspace is a room that contains tools and components, allowing people to enter with an idea and leave with a complete project. The best part is that makerspaces are communal. The goal is to work together to learn, collaborate, and share. Most importantly, makerspaces allow us to explore, create new things, or improve things that already exist. Riverdale’s makerspace is called Imagination Station. Imagination Station includes a variety of stations such as puppets, puzzles, Legos, Kapla Blocks, and a drawing table complete with tracing light boxes.
