Riverdale receives another district award nomination
Congratulations to Riverdale paraeducator Miranda Lundy--again! This time she was nominated for Adams 12 Five Star Schools' Classified Employee of the Year Award. Scholars and staff who have seen her at work or even been in earshot of her know what a difference-maker she is with her intentionality and care.
"Coming to Riverdale was a scary experience and a whirlwind of emotions due to me not liking change or handling it well at times, but I have to say it was one of the best decisions I have made, Lundy said. "Riverdale has welcomed me in with open arms and saw potential in myself that I tend to overlook in myself. Receiving the two nominations was such an amazing feeling and is encouraging for me to keep becoming a better educator for the students and for the Riverdale community."
Earlier this month, the district announced other nominations for Riverdale staff! Ms. Miranda was also nominated for a Strengths in Action-Focus on Students award, and art teacher Sam Hinshaw was nominated for the Strengths in Action-Engage award.
In March, employees from across the district nominated fellow colleagues to earn these annual awards for going above and beyond to ELEVATE student success.
