'Little Mermaid' musical makes a big splash

Our deepest condolences to all "poor, unfortunate souls" who weren't in the audience for Riverdale's 'Little Mermaid Jr' production this month!

In the winter, fourth and fifth graders had the opportunity to try out for lead or ensemble roles. By the end of January, music teacher Caity Hoffert started directing rehearsals in the after-school theater club.

For many in the cast, it was their first time performing. Who would know, though, by the confident dialogue delivery, impressive singing and clever choreography? Watching the cast bring the story to life during the daytime and evening productions on April 22 and 23 had everyone captivated.
