I am thrilled to be a part of the Riverdale community as a literacy interventionist. Growing up in Ohio, I always had the passion for teaching and making a difference in children during their most impressionable years. I graduated from Miami University in Ohio and earned my Masters’ Degree in Reading and Literacy Education from the University of Colorado. I taught in Cherry Creek School District for six years, Eagle County for one, and Adams 12 at Coyote Ridge Elementary for a wonderful eight years. Throughout my 15 years of teaching, I have acquired many skills and best practices to reach all students at each individual level to encourage the greatest potential growth. My husband, Kevin, and I are enjoying our two young children, Addison (seven years old) and Jack (five years old). In our spare time, we love to hike, ski, travel, read, and spend time with family. I am very eager to begin a year filled with discovery, knowledge, and growth with the Riverdale students.
