MISSION STATEMENT

To increase the percentage of students performing at proficient and advanced in reading, writing, math and science in order to meet or exceed the state proficiency average.    

SPRING ASSESSMENT DAY

On Thursday, May 3, all district elementary schools will be conducting some of their spring assessments.  (There will be no school on Friday, May 4, 2012.)

KINDERGARTEN-FIRST GRADE-SECOND GRADE-THIRD GRADE STUDENTS:

7:45 a.m.-10:45 a.m. All students whose last names begin with A-J will come to school for testing (3 hour school day only).

11:30 p.m.- 2:30 p.m.  All students whose last names begin with K-Z will come to school for testing (3 hour school day only).

FOURTH GRADE-FIFTH GRADE STUDENTS:

7:45 a.m.-10:45 a.m. ALL students in these two (2) grade levels attend school for testing (3 hour school day only).

Teachers in fourth and fifth grades  will contact parents individually, if ADDITIONAL testing is needed in the afternoon for their child.

Note:  The reason for the difference in schedules between the two groups of
students is that staff members are required to give
individual assessments to the younger students, while the older students are able to take tests in a large group setting.

There will be no lunch served. BASE will be open all day for those students who are already enrolled in this program.  Please contact the school if you have any questions at 720-972-5580.
